I went to the show Saturday in Hayward, CA and it was really worth it. There were lots of people there as it was opening day, so maybe it will be a little less crazy now. Suburbia his famous book was shot with a Pentax 6x7 (three lenses: 55mm, 105mm, 200mm) and interior shots with a Brooks-Veriwide. Some of his color shots (later) were done with a Sony Mavica (3.5 inch floppy disc camera). He also used bare bulb flash for fill in, and bounce. If you can make it go, you will enjoy it.

I can only think of Todd Hido and Henry Wessel that are around now in the Bay area. Let us know if there are others (???).
