Billingham hadley small strap - Japan

Hello,

My Billingham bag has seen some proper usage (and rain...) which resulted in the strap wearing out. Not enough care I know.

I now need to replace it and am wondering what are my options? I - through my limited Japanese - wasn't able to find it on the Internet locally. While I could order it from overseas, the shipping is often just as expensive as the straps are which doubles the price.

Do you guys know either:

- a place with reasonable shipping costs
- a place in Japan I can buy it at

Thanks, I've sent them an email. Their site has been re-designed lately, I can't even find the Care and Maintenance instructions anymore...

Too bad it's black and I need the tan one. I'll perhaps go and ask them if they have it.

Yes, I do see it on their site but don't see a way to order it directly from them.

Hello there,

I just visited them earlier today and the only one they had was the black one. Would sure look weird on my bag!
They can't take orders and they decided not to stock Billingham accessories anymore. They weren't very helpful overall but they did call up their Shinjuku store who verified the same.

Seems like I need to order from someplace after all.
Any ideas?

A good leather worker would be able to make a matching one of these in a snap. Too bad you are in Japan they might be just as hard to find there.

It is on its way to me. The total was 3700 yen with shipping and some "fee" but that's quite alright, my bag will be like new again 🙂

Yes and the straps have already came in this morning. Below you'll see some shots of them before and after installation.

The bag is a well used bad but should see me for a few more years.
The front straps by the way seem to have gone through some changes throughout the years. The old one had two thin layers glued together facing away from one another, giving the strap an identical look on both sides. The new strap is one piece of thick leather with a proper front and back to it, making it non-reversible.
