Biogon 2/35 ZM not focusing to infinity correctly?

Hi fellow rangefinder users, I seem to be having a problem with my Zeiss Biogon 2/35 ZM. It doesn't seem to focus to infinity at wider apertures. I just did a shot at f/2 where I focused to infinity (on the lens - not with the rangefinder) that would render sharp everything up to about ten meters (30 ft), and from thereon things started to be blurred. Distand objects weren't sharp at all. It generally doesn't seem to focus correctly from 5 meters on at f/2. I have no problems at closed apertures, since I guess there d-o-f compensates for this issue, and the lens is also spot on at shorter distances at the wider apertures. Has this occured to anyone? Is this typical for the Biogon? Or do I have a flawed copy? Mind that this doesn't bother me much, but if it could be corrected, that would be nice :) P.S.: I posted this here as I am shooting the lens on an M8 - but if this thread should be moved to the Zeiss Ikon forum, please let me know.

My 35/2.8 Biogon does the same. As does every lens I've tried on the camera, except for the 28/2 Ultron that has so much spherical aberration that it doesn't matter.

My guess is that it's the camera, not the lens. Early M8:s seems to have a little bit to far from the bayonet to the sensor, probably since Leica didn't realize that they'd have to compensate a bit for the difference to film thickness.

If that's the case with your camera, you should see it even with Leica lenses, but probably not at all as much, as the Zeiss lenses have a very well defined plane of sharpness.
