Hi there,

My black and white film landscape photography is kinda lacklustre.

i was wondering if you guys know of any photographers out there whose works i can see and study to give me some inspiration.

I recently saw a book of Michael Kenna and was very very impressed. That given that I'm usually not into landscape photography (not even Adams much). When I went back to buy the book it was gone :(
Really beautiful work.

I highly recommend Michael Kenna's work. Amazing long exposure landscape work. His limited edition prints are highly prized and priced accordingly as well.

John Sexton
Nick Brandt (animals in Africa)

Technical masters all. You have chosen, in my view one of the most challenging areas of photography in which to say something new (although I suppose the same could be said of the nude as a subject, or flowers . . .).

Good luck! and let us know if any of the photographers here inspired you particularly.

If you like adams, I would certainly look at the 19th century photographers who covered much of the same territory..
O'Sullivan
Muybridge
Watkins

..for landscapes?

Yep. McCullin has spent the last few years mainly phtographing landscapes in Somerset where he lives. Some really moody stuff, especially the winter scenes. He is now embarkinbg (or has embarked) on a project to photograph the ruins of the Roman empire.
