Black and White Fuji Instax Film

Great! I hope they do similar for the larger Instax film!

Me too but I doubt that they will. The wide format seems to not get as much attention from Fuji.

Funny I was just starting to shop for a Polaroid to use the Impossible Project B&W film.

The Instax game? ^

This is really exciting news, hope we can expect a Wide Format Monochrome Instax to follow in the new year!

Definitely the instant film game. Was sad to see the FP-3000B go and with no other options (besides Impossibles less than stellar and overpriced film) this changes the game for B&W Instant.

I definitely want to see the Wide stuff, but this is great news.

Hell, any new analog photography product is great news 😀

Guess I better put the rush on getting my Instax 90...

I miss the FP-3000B! Still have 5 shots in my Polaroid back for Hasselblad.

:bang: It was annoying because I bought the back for cheap (£10), bought my first Polaroid pack...and not even done with it yet and then they say it's going to discontinue. 😡

it is annoying, but hold onto it.

1. 3000B and 100C packfilm are both still out there in abundance.

2. The Catlabs people are stepping up to the plate and will make packfilm.

I have my hopes pinned on that. The peel-apart stuff is some of my favorite film to use. I have a couple old Polaroids plus a back for my 4x5.

Nice to see B&W appear in Instax Mini format!

I'm too heavily invested in Polaroid SX-70, 600, and Spectra instant film format to want to buy into yet another film format. The current Impossible films for these cameras is quite good quality, the B&W in particular is consistent and quick. I'm testing a couple of packs of their new red duotone, in beta, and it is fun, if challenging. The latest color is very good.

Still have a dozen or so packs of FP-3000b and a pack of FP-100c for the Polaroid Land 350 and Hasselblad back. It's a very different look and feel from any of the integral films.

Not only you missing the pack film from Fuji !

I will leave for a short holiday in a few days with only my Polaroid 340 and a few FP-100 films for colors and the I-1 with a few B&W from Impossible!

At the moment I'm not interested in the Mini Fuji B&W not desiring to add another camera to my collection but I learned never say never 🙂

meh...the samples in the announcement and on petapixel look sort of like IP's film: high contrast, flat highlights, not much in the middle tones. 🙁

i'll give it a try. maybe it'll be sharper and less grainy at least.

The impossible films are good and getting better, but <$1.00 per exposure is a nice thing.

The standard Instax format is too small for my tastes, and Instax cameras leave much to be desired, but a positive sign overall for instant photography.

I could live with the format, but I cannot live with the cameras. You would say Fuji never made a decent medium format camera if you see and use those toys.
