black FED: diy?

I wonder why almost all FSU-LTM stuff is chrome-only, a black FED-2 would be very nice!
I don't want to cover my FED-2 with lots of sticky black plastic tape:bang:
What about a diy solution? Do i need some special tools? I know that i cannot paint black over the chrome... if you have any suggestion, well... thanks!

You'll need to strip the chrome to do the job properly.

Or buy from Fedka. I think he has some black painted cameras...
