Black Fed?

Were there any black FEDs. I have heard of one called the JURA and it is claimed it came from the early 60s, but the condition looks to be mint so it may be much later or just freshly painted.. It also has a KMZ logo which I find strange and comes with a black collapsible lens.

General opinion is that no FSUs came in black. Re-paints are fairly common so I'd say treat any black camera as a likely fake, especially if the paint is pristine!

Black FED project from 2007. Camera originally had ratty chrome. Stripped this off and painted it black:

black Fed 2 would be cool, as long as work were done by someone (like ZorkiKat) who knew what she/he were doing. would not care so much of authenticity.

Yes, I agree. Nothing worse than paint half rubbing off.
