Black Jupiter 11

I have acquired a Jupiter 11 in a semi-matt black finish. It is virtually mint apart from a slight indication that filters have been used. I am wondering whether it is, in fact, quite rare and so worth preserving - or can I safely expose it to the rigours of landscape photography without feeling that I might be risking something quite unusual?

It is probably a KOMZ lens. According to Aidas‘ site it is „less common to find nowadays „
I‘d use it with caution, it seems to be rather rare but no prototype or museum piece.

Beautiful lens- I have a Contax/Kiev J-11 in Olive Green, have seen more than one. But not many. Mine was $20 at a camera show.

I would use it, I use a lot of rare and valuable lenses. But- I tend to also have the "Beaters" for more rough places.
J-11's are cheap, easy to pick up a "beater". You could probably sell this one for 2x ore more of a chrome lens.
