Did anyone already buy one of these black Kiev 4s from DVD Technik (http://www.dvdtechcameras.com/)? As far as I know there were no originally black painted Kievs and I wonder how the quality of the painting job is on these cameras. With a price of 90 US$ they are by far cheaper than the one from Fedka.

I got several from Michael Fourman (of Kievcamera.com fame), all in black.
Only one worked, and that for only a while (high speed shutter problems)
He still owes me one. The last one came back to me missing the... Well, missing the black. First shutter firing was enough to snap the straps.
I don't have a black Kiev, but I'm lucky enough to have TWO good working bodies, one from a fellow forumite.
Cheap Kievs? They don't exist, so far as I'm concerned.

I have a 4am from them and think it's a beautiful camera. I didn't even realize that it is repainted.

What I really liked about the black painted Kiev that I had (that worked, sorta) was the look of the shutter speed selector dial. After winding through 20 rolls of film, it wasn't black anymore, but a very deep and highly polished... Bronze? (Sorry, don't see color too well) but the camera had a fine look of simply being used and was all the more handsome for it.
