I just got an email from B&H. The black M8s are back in stock there, and as of 2:23 PM EST on Feb. 21, 2007, they are still available.

This is the first time they stayed in stock for more than a couple hours (about 24 give or take this time). I wonder how many they sold, ie if this batch was larger than the others. Still it's good to see they are still selling. I want Leica to stay in business and I want them to fix what ails the M8 so I can buy one soon.

I am waiting and biding my time, too, even though I swore I was done with digital rangefinders when I bought my 2nd R-D1. I really need to be done. Where's Frank when you need him?
