Black or brown leather leatherette replacement? Which would you prefer?

If you want to sell your cameras for more and are crafty then do this: https://ilottvintage.com/cameras/

Looks nice, seems like he put some kind of wood inlay/ wood grain printed PU leather cover on there. I feel like the pictures on the site are what make it nice though.

I've seen camera with real wood grain inlays for the leatherette, but I imagine it's really hard/impossible for the normal person to do.

Would you buy a camera with brown leather, or would you prefer the classic black? I'm considering whether to use brown, or black, for cameras I want to sell, not wanting to lower the value of the camera.
...

My initial thought is to use black - a safe choice. But that brown Pentax ME posted above is very attractive.

I haz dark blue Lynx 14E:

This is probably the best advice if you are preparing a camera for resale. For those cameras that you plan to keep, go for brown or whatever else appeals to you personally.

I have seen colored cameras go for more than stock, as many see them as unique/custom.
Including Leicas.

The Contura has an incredible covering, it’s Salz California Saddle Leather. Just a Beautiful and very naturally organic cover.
