wish I could find some original unused BP parts to build a FrankenLeica M4/6 ~ but the many oldtimers I have asked in the business have admitted to have NEVER ever seen any un-stamped Leica M4 top plates in BP

Love your display, Raymond. I think about doing this myself from time to time, and I always come back to having my cameras 'private'. Then again, I guess I could put it in the study where no one can see it...
As for the OP, I'd have to go with a MP. A MP would be fantastic, but I'd have to get one secondhand. The price of a MP these days is just crazy.
