blank rolls with new Bessa R2M

Ok so I've developed around 15 rolls of film all by myself successfully, but my last 3 rolls shot with my new Bessa R2 have come up blank. At first I thought it was something I did wrong with the developing, but I just developed 2 rolls one from my cannon EOS and one from the Bessa, the cannon film developed and the bessa roll didn't which effing sucks coz I think I got some decent shots on that roll :bang:

Anyone have any insight into what I could be doing wrong, could it be an issue with the camera?

If the film has the edge markings, it likely wasn't correctly loaded. IE: the leader slipped off the TU spool and didn't go through.
IDKif you're familiar w/edge markings. They're the frame numbers and type indicators on the edge of the film.

Describe 'blank': no exposure at all, or completely over-exposed? If the latter, is it over the whole film including the sprockets, or just in the frames?

Camera checks...

Remove lens cap.

Adjust lens aperture and check that the blades open and close.

Open camera back, hold it up to light, and look through while operating shutter through all speeds.

When loading the film I always advance the film until the rewind lever starts to turn. Even if I have to advance to frame 2 for that. Then I'm sure that the film is correctly on the spool.

What does 'blank' mean?
(1) are there manufacturer's edge markers (frame numbers and brand name)?
(2) did the exposed end develop completely?
(3) did you feel the end of the film before you wound it back?


if (1) and/or (2) are false, then the problem is with the film or development. But if you say another film developed well, then your film was completely dead, which is highly unusual.

if (3) is false, then most likely there was some film advance problem; perhaps the film did not latch on to the spool, or worse, the camera activates the shutter without turning the spool.
