I started my new blog today -- Jan 1 seemed to be a perfect launch date. My blog entries tend to be mini-essays on photo-related topics with a picture or two attached. My first entry is 'Using Rangefinders'

Based on my experience with my previous blog, I expect to publish an entry a week or thereabouts.

i'm envious. but pleased that you're a part of this all.

i don't see my blog being singly focused on photography or anything else for that matter as i'm too scattered in general.

Wow great bunch of blogs here ! I admit I enjoy reading them and did with some others before joining this forum.

However, when I started my own, I discovered my approach didn't work. I've just thought about something new though, that is, simply to post a little story on each one of my paw's photos so with time it turns into some sort of blog.

New year, new projects 🙂 Will try to do it with the 'old' 2004 one as well.

Scott, they vary enormously in their content and purpose. Depends on the blogger. But whether you like 'em or not is obviously a personal thing. I'm not into movies -- can't abide most of them ...

Very true do vary quite a bit. My friend was telling me about about how their are audio blogs now, in mp3. People can tell a poem, rant, rave, list off their RF gear, or anything. Then you download it. Pretty strange concept. Reading is one thing, but actually diseminating our voices across the world with a click and then all these strangers are listening in. The world just gets more and more connected!

don't you think that's a good thing?
for example, i 'met' people here and from that meeting have come to buy & sell cameras and gear.
also discovered that i like gene's style of writing, rover's sense of humour, oscar's sincerity, etc.

i like blogs cause it's a way to show some of my photos and poems and rants to people who may want to see/read them.
i don't have to send to individuals but they can pick & chose if/when they want to view.

i kinda like this 'new' connectedness.
