Thank you Gentlemen. As I said, this is just for fun, but I have a number of ideas and themes that I want to explore, and this seems a good way to do so.

Nice one Bill, enjoyed your writings.
I too started out with no expectation and no pressure, now my photo journal has been up for almost two years with the readership of about two people
But it's fun, and it's more fun reading back what you wrote in a year or two.
Keep on.

Bill, I like the new post. I'm glad you wrote that one, because, even though it has a location on your post, I forgot you were in the land of Eng.
However, I'm glad you're sharing the laws etc. in your post. Here's one to add to the list; in the UK, whilst a police officer can ask your name and address (which you are obliged to give), they cannot make you produce it. Very important.

I started a blog about three years ago. The idea was to show my old photos and write about what was going on at the time, why I shot them, maybe hook up with some people I hadn't seen in decades, etc. Somehow this gradually morphed into a coverage of local happenings, largely of a political nature. I still run across some old pictures and write about them as well, everything from rock stars to old girlfriends. Yes, some people that I haven't seen in decades have gotten in touch with me. Now I've checked out Bill's blog. I like it, but it seems a bit more equipment oriented than my blog.
Most all my shots, going back to the 1960's are Leica, Canon, or Bessa rangefinder, and my favorite lens for years was the Canon 19mm until it was stolen a few years ago. Since then I've mostly been shooting with a 15mm Heliar.

Some very nice pix and blogs here. I use a blog to flog some of my photo services.
I don't use either of my Leica IIIs for paid work but play with them occasionally. Mostly the IIIF. The pre-WWII IIIb is getting less of a workout. And I still love my Rollei 35.

The best camera is one that still works!
Soon as I saw the thread title 'Bloggin' I thought of the Stevie Wonder song 'Jammin' for some reason ... now I can't get the damned tune out of my head!
If you change the word 'jammin' in the song with 'bloggin' it may be quite fun to hum as you tap away at the keyboard?
Everyone's feeling pretty
It's hotter than July
Though the world's full of problems
They couldn't touch us even if they tried
From the park I hear rhythms
Marley's hot on the box
Tonight there will be a party
On the corner at the end of the block
Didn't know you
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
I bet nobody ever told you that you
would be jammin' until the break of dawn
You would be jammin' and jammin' and jammin', jam on
They want us to join their fighting
But our answer today
Is to let all our worries
Like the breeze through our fingers slip away
Peace has come to Zimbabwe
Third World's right on the one
Now's the time for celebration
'Cause we've only just begun
Didn't know that you
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
Bet you nobody ever told you that you
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
You would be jammin' and jammin' and jammin', jam on
Bet you nobody ever told you that you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
I know nobody told you that you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
We're jammin', jammin', jammin', jam on
You ask me am I happy
Well as matter of fact
I can say that I'm ecstatic
'Cause we all just made a pact
We've agreed to get together
Joined as children in Jah
When you're moving in the positive
Your destination is the brightest star
Good Blog by the way ... you write well! :)

Thanks for the kudos, guys. That blog is the albatross around my neck, the curse that follows me around. It's become an obsession, everyday another post to produce!. I don't think that I've missed but a day or two since I began. It currently lists at about the 68th position in the Yahoo! Top 100 List for photography blogs, after hanging in at about 72 for a few months Last year it was a "Yahoo Pick".
One guy emailed me to complain that he'd stumbled on the blog by accident, and he'd been up all night reading it and didn't know how he was going to get it together to go to work that day. During the recent May city elections I had candidates vying with one another to get coverage in the blog. Hey, it IS fun!
