I'm interested to know how many other members have piercings / tattoos or some other form of body modification. I have one tongue, and a helix and lobe on both ears.
Well, it's slightly cheaper than GAS. I'd like to have two more for the ears. Or perhaps I should get an Oleg FED 2 instead. Decisions.

Forgive the ambiguity.
I remember one crazy thread about a member who wanted to get a tattoo of a tri-x box. Tattoos are not quite my taste, really, but neither will I be implanting strap lugs to hang my cameras on.

Nope, no self-inflicted changes to that which was created in God's image. A large number of small scars, but that's all.

i have a scar on my arm from a knife fight as a yoot in nyc.
and of course i have a broken heart, in a few places, from way too many poorly handled realtionships.

I was worried when I saw the link whether this would be about changing the camera's body!
I've got 4 tongue bars. Two at 1.6mm, one at 3.2 (I think) and one at 2.4. I never quite managed to stretch to 4mm, it was hefty and a bit painful.
Got a central lip-piercing (labret) also. I used to have 2 surface piercings in the back of my neck but they grew out, and I had my belly pierced (no, its not just girls who get it done!) but it never fully healed so I took it out.
Also got a tattoo on my right bicep, and another on my left wrist (on the underside).
Oh and scars, I've got two pathetic zippo-lighter scars, one on my wrist from a drunken bet. Those things get quite hot! There's the scar on the palm of my right hand from getting sliced by a 35mm film can as well.
My shoulder and collar bone are both 'modified' where neither has healed correctly from when I fell and broke them (a year between one and the other).

I have no tattoos or piercings, although I've been considering both. Might get a big "MOM" tattoo one of these days; my mom would love it (she'd pretend to be shocked, but she'd love it).
For scars, I do have a nasty-looking eight-inch vertical scar on my belly; no knife fights, I'm afraid, just a good old ruptured appendix...

Appendix scars can look really 'hardcore' when you make up a story about them. I knew a guy who had testicular cancer than spread and he had a 3-way scar on him where they cut him open to operate. If only he learnt to wax his belly... gruesome.
A really good friend of mine, saw her yesterday, she had really bad, quite recent, scars up her arm. I asked her why: "jumped off a bridge". I really didnt understand the explanation that followed.
EDIT: He actually DID have cancer, he wasnt lying. Sorry I realised my awful phrasing
EDIT AGAIN: Attached pic, one of mum's elbow replacement/graft scars. Her body's covered in those scars.

My scar was pretty hardcore when it was fresh. Used to turn bright red, purple, black, blue, all colours if I exercised too much, or put too much strain on it. Now that it's settled in, I just stays skin colour all the time. Boring...

Yea thats like the little burn scars on the tips of my knuckles - they tell the temperature depending on their colour

You certainly have some impressive battle scars there, Ash. Especially from the 35mm canister (and that's why I never pop the cans. I leave a little leader out so I can start the spooling in daylight).
I presume there are two in front and two slightly behind them?
Mine's in the centre, both relative to the sides and the front of the tongue. I'm thinking of getting another one closer to the tip but I don't know if it's possible.
Stretching doesn't quite appeal to me, really. I can't imagine a 4mm gauge.

Well, I have six inches of titanium in my leg but that's probably not what you meant for this thread...makes it decidedly annoying to fly anywhere these days. A few other scars but nothing intentional.

i’ve got a lot of tattoos (not sure of the count...something like 17 i think). i had a self-imposed moratorium for the past 5 years or so (as i was getting filled up too fast), but now i plan on having back at it. i've got my next one picked out and ready to go. i just need to save up some cash.
i also have my nipple pierced and stretched to 8 or 10 gauge (i can’t remember). i had it stretched as far as 4 gauge in college (roughly 5mm). that was kinda silly. the ring was metal and was VERY heavy. running up stairs required me to hold it in place. hehehehe. i had both eyebrows pierced w/ curved barbells until recently. i took them out since i had snagged them too many times over the years, and they weren’t in there good enough. i plan on getting them re-pierced soon.
yeah...i’m a freak. but i clean up remarkably well

I don't really like bragging about scars. Mine is bigger than I would consider healthy. Like a zipper all the way down my belly.
But body modification, I thought cameras.
I added earrings to my CLE. Well, I persuaded an M grip to fit and added an extra ring to that to carry vertically. Works excellent!
Replacing rings does not count I guess.
