Bokeh Babble

🙂 Thanks KP!

OT BTW do you still write on the Leica website Forum - they've changed the format?

Hi KP

this is OT

i do visit there but less frequently - sadly i missed the Lecia dinner get-together at the end of July as i was still in Bangkok 🙁 . I aslo missed the RFF meet in London a month or so before 🙁 The Forum gatherings are a lot of fun and it make a big difference when you actually meet someone who you've been "talking"to online for a while. We did have an excellent Lightstalkers gathering in Bangkok which invloved a 12 hr drinking session 😀 and i was able to hook up with Stet (Rick) who posts here on RFF. 🙂

Don't have time to develop but my answer is:

- Summitar (I like the circles it produces)

- Summar (just amazing)

- Sonnar 50 (so creamy...)

Perhaps someone already said this, but, I can't see how the number of aperture blades has anything to do with bokeh, because the Olympus XA, which I've used extensively, has pleasing bokeh in my opinion, and it only has two V-shaped things that close to form a square-ish aperture. Ditto for the Olympux XA4 macro camera.

KP that would be a great idea and one day i'm sure it would be possible and will look forward to that......
