I was given a Bolsey C, apparently unused for more than two decades. The leaf shutter does not fire or close with reliability. The film wind transport mechanism appears broken but rewind works. Any one has experience with this 1950 camera and suggest whom I can send to for repair/overhaul?

Thanks.

Welcome to the club. Hardly anyone has a Bolsey C that works. Sorry, but personally, I'd suggest that you get another camera. That particular Bolsey was infamous for the plastic shutter blades deforming, loosening, coming apart and otherwise malfunctioning. It sounds to me like yours is already doing that. I've heard that the only way to repair this is to replace the blades with metallic ones. I'm not sure what you'd use for a donor though. On the other hand, from what I can see online, the film transport looks pretty basic and shouldn't be too difficult to fix.
