Book 2 Deadline Closing in Fast!!!

oh shit, the deadline is TODAY!😱
Hi guys i'm back and, though I still have to arrange the rental of two tuxedos today and was also invited to Amsterdam with some austrian girls to find some pre-party, I swear I will submit the stuff before midnight!
(MY midnight 😀 )

edit: ok ok it's tomorrow, whew! i'm slightly disoriented😀 Still, i'll try to do it today.

So far, no worries.

I figure that so long as you get it in by 11:59:60* PM on Dec. 31, 2005 they will grade us on a curve and the worst we can get is a "C"!!!

* This is a "leap second" year - we all get an extra second!!! 😀

For most of our friends in Europe, that'll be 6:59:59 AM on 1/1 2006; for our Australian friends it'll be much much later than that. For our friends in Asia South-Pacific, somewhere in between, etc. etc.

It depends on your (partying) point of view whether that's a good thing or a bad thing 😛

I just sent off my photos/text .... and its only 1:15am of the 31st here 😀 normally I would be trying to work out the US/AU time difference and panicking that I might miss it. Phew! hehehe

I'm trying to get mine sent in now, but gmail is not cooperating. I keep getting "server error, try again in a few minutes". If this keeps up I'll log in remotely to my other account and try from there.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I shouldn't have waited this long, but I just got back in town.

Anyway, one way or another it will all get in shortly. It's coming in 5 parts, bio entry, 2 descriptions, and 2 photos.

OK, the mail box is filling up.

One issue.......

We had asked somewhere, that the text (Bio and photo descriptions) be kept to 150 words. Due to the number of participants we need to conserve space. We want the focus of the book to be the images of course.

Some of the text we have received is well over this limit. I must ask a favor of everyone.

If you feel you have submitted text over the 150 word limit, please edit your submission yourself, and resend it. I have to ask that you take the initiative on this as there is so much stuff now that has to be touched we cannot go threw every one and count words. At some point in the future when push comes to shove, we will notify participants individually, but right now I ask that you please use your good judgement, this will help us out quite a bit.

Also, if you are close to 150, that is ok. There are some that are quite lengthy though, those are the ones that need to be edited.

One other mention, we have been asked by some members for whom English is not their native language to edit their submissions to correct grammar and the like. We will be doing this and truly appreciate the diverse participation in this project and at RFF. We will not be editing every submission, only those we feel need some adjustments. If you have an objection to this regarding your submission, please send an email to the rff email box and we will comply with your wishes.

It looks like things are going forward quite well.
