Book Club - First Set of Book Suggestions

Wow, I went out of town for a couple of days only to come back to find quite the impressive list here!

I'll let this thread run for one more day. Tomorrow morning I'll open the voting thread. So if anyone else still wants to get a suggestions in, now is your chance.

How about the classic "Ways of Seeing" by John Berger?

Easily available ... and everyone keeps telling me I ought to read it!

I have been told this is a great book as well.

Dyer's: "On Going Moment" is an exceptionally good book. It is thought provoking and makes one look at photography and photographers in a different light. It is also of recent vintage and readily available in libraries and book stores.

Although I would very much prefer discussing pictures in books to talking about words about pictures in books, of the books so far, I'd go for Dyer's: "On Going Moment" or "Ways of Seeing" by John Berger.

But, if I'm not too late to make a suggestion, I'd like to offer any book by Freidlander or Martin Parr.
