bookmarks disappeared from iPad!

picked up my ipad mini and all the bookmarks were gone!
they were there about an hour before...

Are u sharing via iCloud your safari info from another machine? Check on iPad/general setting/iCloud. It could be an iCloud related hic-up. My wife has this happen to her iPhone. A reboot reset seems to work, but not immediately sometimes (which is why I suspect an iCloud hiccup). For her it is her email and address book. I have it happen to my email account. For the email, we just need to kill the email app and restart it.
