Well-known
I don’t know if I am the last guy on Earth who does not have a DSLR that can make video, but it seems likely that my next camera, whatever and whenever, will have this facility.
Recently I read one instalment on “filming” in a British photomag [Photography Monthly I think], and it was quite interesting with lots of references to cult films from 50-75 years ago [none of which I have seen…].
It seems a field worth investigating from a dual motivation - learning about filming and perhaps use some the knowledge obtained in real photography 😉
I only know of two films schools [The Danish and the Polish Lodz Film School] but could not really find any curriculum with detailed literature references.
Maybe they only see movies and read no books 😀
Can anybody recommend books on the “art of filming” [scripts, the actual filming process, editing] and/or point me to relevant university/college/school homepages in US/Commonwealth countries?
English language books only and not “beginner’s guides” – depth and breadth are welcomed.
Thanks in advance
