Hi,

anyone one know any good bookstores in London that stock photography books. Mainly looking to buy japanese and unusual reads. Thanks.

'Foyles' in Charing Cross Road just a couple of hundred yards south of the junction with Oxford Street.

Be aware, it is a large shop over three floors and the Photography 'how to' books are in a different section to the books of photography (which last time I was in there a month or two ago were on the top floor).

Also try Claire de Rouen, right next door to Foyle's. Website here. For my money, the best photography bookshop in London, though a mite on the small side.

Claire de Rouen (not sure if a spelled this right) is on Charing Cross as well. Nothing but photography in it. It is upstairs and you have to go through another shop to get to it. They have lots of unusual stuff.

If you visit Foyles' Charing Cross branch, be sure to take along a large ball of string, a compass, a radio, and a week's-worth of emergency rations. Damned shop makes the Labyrinth look like a walk in the park.

Thanks, will check those mentioned above - anymore, like second hand ones?

went to a photographic fair recently where I managed to pick a two good books.

photobooks in London?

Why not try Selfridges on Oxford Street.
They have an extensive collection of art books incl. some excellent photo
books. They also have one of the widest choice of photo mags.as well
