Off the clock on his own time, Boris Yaro unexpectedly got the pics of a lifetime with a Nikon FTN and 28mm Nikkor. A consummate professional, he helped set a very high standard for newspaper photojournalism.

BTW, the famous pic of Lee Harvey Oswald being shot at the Dallas Police station was taken with a Nikon S3 and 35/2.5 Nikkor.

Sorry to hear this, I actually like the full frame image that included Juan Romero much better than the one shown here.

Boris would have been using the 28mm F3.5 lens on his NIKON FTN. The 2.8 and 2.0 versions didn’t come out for several years later.
