I'll be in Cambridge/Boston (right next to MIT) on Jan 30-Feb 2 (4 days). Is there a place there that can do proper slide film developing? I have a couple of rolls of Provia 100F that I'd like to process.

These are important photos because they are the only film photos of my newborn daughter.

Oh, and I won't have a car with me but I could take a taxi I guess. I'm familiar with Boston because I lived there 20 years ago.

And one other thing... are there any good camera stores I could visit just for the fun of it in this area?

Well if you don't have a car, you can drop it off with Hunt's Photo in Cambridge (Harvard Sq. just off JFK St. and opposite the Peet's Coffee). They send it to Dorian Labs in Arlington Center I believe.

The only fun camera shops close by are Calumet near the Cambridgeside Galleria mall (can take a shuttle from outside the MIT coop) and Bromfield near the Park St. T stop - the former for digital, and the latter for film stuff (not nearly the same range these days). Hunt's in Melrose is bigger but more of a journey to get to.
