Rex canum cattorumque
If I am teaching a 7 year old how to use a film camera (for composition and lighting), and I wanted to just develop b/w at home for this project, rather than to deal with C-41, what's the lowest-end film option? Not looking for some super-artisanal, high-silver product - just something with DX coding that's 400-speed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Foma 400? Not really 400 though, closer to 250.

Yep, just checked. Not coded
I never noticed!
You could always add your own to any cheap film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DX_encoding#Reading_DX_codes
