Unfortunately it's not a Voigtlander, but an SLR (shock, horror!)

I've been looking for a wide angle camera and I won this in ebay with a low bid. Comes with a 28mm Pentax mount Cosinon lens, which I hope is good.

Hopefully I'll like the results, so I can justify spending a bit more than $20 on my next camera! (BTW I don't really want to collect cameras, they just accumulate! I should be happy with just one good one, right? Then I think, well maybe two, so I can chooose between B&W and colour...)

Yeah, you need two, one for B/W, one for color. Of course in those set are subsets: one for B/W 100 ISO, one for B/W 160 ISO, one for B/W 400 ISO, .................................;)

Hehe, that's getting dangerous!

What do you think of the Yashica 35 CC Todd? Is it much smaller than the GTN/GSN?
I find the GTN just a bit too big for my liking...

Well mine arrived with a crack in the RF glass, still useable and I'm fixing to send it to Mark Hama for repair. It feels alot like my CL I used to have (Stolen), very solid, heavy with much better feel and construction compared to the GSN/GTN/GS.....
here is a photo taken with it @ f2.8 I think: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/pho...50/password//sort/1/size/medium/cat/500/page/
It is really a sharp lens. The only thing I have a hard time with is not knowing what shutter speed I'm shooting at. there is one on eb@y right now but let me warn you, they don't come cheap!

Since you now have the Pentax mount, get a Pentax SMC-M f/1.4 50mm or a SMC-M f/1.7 50mm. One of the sharpest 50mm lenses ever! It ties with Leica Summicron in MTF tests :)
You can find the on Ebay for $30-50...

Here`s a shot with the f/1.4 wide open

I learned photography with a Monolta Hi-Matic 9 and an Argus/Cosina STL1000. I wore the Cosina out and bought a near mint condition Black one on Ebay not too long ago. It is a good camera; loud from it's Copal Square Shutter; but a great handling SLR. I use the original Cosinon 50mm F1.8 on it and a Pentax 85mm F4.5 Ultra-Achromat on it.

I have the very similar Vivitar 450/SLD with the Copal Square; they're heavy and the shutter crashes open and shut, but they just feel right.

Not to mention, but they're also screaming bargains. Over a period of about two years, I got the 450 and then six or seven lenses from 20mm to 400mm for a total of about $70.

Todd & Plexi, both those shots are excellent!

Unfortunately the shutter of the camera has severe leaks, so it looks like it's junk. It appears to have a missing/broken shutter curtain. Seller says he'll refund, but it was so cheap it'd not worth be returning (I'm pretty sure I could sell the 28mm lens for what I paid for the lens +camera)

Also, (the good bit!) I've already won a 135mm SMC Takumar and am keeping my eye open for a 50 mm 1.4. I've read some really great things about these Pentax lenses. :)

So all I need now is a light proof box to attach to the lens (preferably with a meter!)
Currently have my eye on a Mamiya and a Spotmatic II...
