Bought a Konica 35ee/Recorder

I have just bought one as I have enjoyed using my little Agfa Paramat and seeing images posted on here I felt like increasing my choices. Now I just have to wait for her to arrive and at the same time I am looking for an Olympus Pen EEx. I have been printing a lot of my work on 7x5 and so I think half frame will be plenty good enough and will save my film costs quite considerably given I go through at least 12 rolls a wk. More likely it will still be ten plus a wk as Ill be driven to be even more prolific 😀. Though I did speak to a Half Frame shooter who goes through 1000+ rolls a year 😱 and their work was pretty awesome, so maybe I am being too lazy 😎

I had 35AA, another fascinating example of how Konica built landmark cameras.

konica never disappointed me.

It´s a nice camera, but be careful with the battery cover! Very tiny plastic bits that break easily.
The lens quality is awesome.

btgc, landmark is the right word, but lately I was frustrated by two FS-1 that both got mad electronically:-(

I have kept an AA35 or Recorder in the car for more than 20 years -- shot hundreds of rolls -- totally worn outside, but just keeps on working (tape around battery cover and back lock).
Good results, too.

Well I have picked up an Olympus Pen EE2, just have to wait for the pair to arrive and get used to their quirks. I am looking forward to walking around with small cameras for a while. Though I have mostly been using an OM2 which is small for an SLR and a Konica TC-X which is even lighter. I'm looking for interesting small but not too expensive cameras to try out to see how I can use them.

There aren't a whole lot of quirks with a Pen EE-2—in my experience at least. It's pretty much point and shoot at its finest. Plus it has a nicer lens then the Konica. The only thing it lacks that the Recorder has is built in flash and perhaps a few more shutter speed options via the automatic programming. On the other hand, the Recorder is about the coolest looking thing ever, and it's certainly less common.
