just recieved a set of hand turned brass synch plugs from RFF'er Dave Wilkinson and i wanted to show them off. they look a million times better than the old smokers tooth colored plastic plugs that were on my M3. thanks again Dave !

It is kind of odd that Leitz went to black plastic for the Leicaflex and M4 plugs but stuck it out with the yucky off white for the M3 type synch sockets.

i agree Al. cosmetically speaking the synch plugs are the only thing that doesn't work on the M3. but in terms of function the M3 is perfect. i love it'

just got two more brass synch plugs from Dave Wilkinson... i think they enhance the look of any Leica or Yashica 😀 much better in every way than the cheap Leica ones even if they are free 🙂

Don't they show scratches? How often do you have to polish them. Who makes a little saddle leather case to keep one in when you're using flash? Are they available in black paint? They'd sure look out of place on a chrome body. 😱

well... they are self polishing because of the rubbing motion against your clothing... but i hear this is enhanced if you wear Eton Egyptian cotton shirts. and funny you should ask because i just ordered a one off Bally plug tote. what can i say ? i like brass synch plugs and wanted to let other potential likers know that they exist.

I also have a set from Dave for my chrome M3 w/nickel plugs.
(At least it looks like nickel, may be alum.) I know it sure enhances
the look along w/the softee that Dave supplied. Best money I ever
spent.

EVERYBODY knows that it is wrong, just wrong, to mix gold (or bass) with silver (or chrome). 😱 Where the heck did yo'll get yer fashion sense? You might as well be wearing those stretchy double-knit trousers, complete with snags, and flashy nylon shirts with a goofy looking camera set-up like that. 🙄

p.s. Sorry, LChanyungco... just expressing my humble opinion. No offfense intended. 🙂

no offense taken, but you ought to know that brass on chrome looks o.k. if i have the three top buttons of my "flashy nylon shirt" open to expose my gold rope and medallion. offsets the brass beautifully. 😀
