Hi;
I picked up a Braun Paxette Automatic Super III rangefinder camera at a garage sale this weekend for $10.00 CDN. This camera is in excellent condition aside from a dead selenium meter, and possibly needing the rangefinder adjusted. I ran a roll of cheapy colour film through it and was very impressed with the quality of the prints I got back. I am wondering if anyone on this forum would know anything about this camera, what vintage it would be, it's approximate value, and if a manual is available anywhere.

Thanks;
Kevin

hello... i got a braun paxette electromatic but cannot figure out how to rewind the film. i've seen some manuals online, but none that are exactly like this camera! where would i find a manual? have you found one? thanks

Rewinding Braun.

Rewinding Braun.

Hi;
To rewind the Braun, you push in the pin located on the bottom of the camera, and then start rewinding using the handle located on the back left hand side of the camera. It will take you maybe 75 "flicks" of the handle to fully rewind the film, and it is hard to tell when you are done, because the amount of tension on the handle seems to drop by a very small amount after the film is fully rewound. I hope this makes sense to you. I did find a manual online somewhere, I'll have to look to find it, but when I do, I will post it for you. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what a great lens this camera has, maybe the best in my entire collection.
Kevin
