Braun Paxette IIm repair question

I was recently given a Paxette IIm with the uncoupled rangefinder.
After stripping down the shutter and reviving it I now need to clean and adjust the rangefinder which requires the removal of the top plate. My question is is there a certain number of turns that the advance lever return spring needs. I know this is a tough job since I did it years ago but have since lost my notes..

As far as I can tell you can leave the spring alone if you use the method described.

I got it fixed. I had to disassemble it to clean out the gunk that was making it sluggish. I did figure out an easy way to re-assemble and charge the spring and once I replaced the rangefinder beamsplitter, I got it back together and working like new..

It turns out the advance lever isn't as hard to work on than what many think..
