Bright spots on chromo finishes

I have noticed in my rather limited obsevation that Voigtlander chrome finish seem to be less prone to " bright spots" than same vintage Leica . I stand to be educated on this matter.

Current production Voigtlander is silver paint over a composite material.

Current production Leica is chrome plate (?) over metal.

They may have a different appearance.
