Hi
Just changed lenses on my M6 TTL from 35mm to 50mm but the brightline frame seems to be stuck on 35/135 (Yes I have put the lens on correctly) I tried moving the lever on the front, to change it but it stays on 35/135 which ever way I move it.
Any suggestions? Does it have anything to do with the battery? Do I need to get it repaired or is it a simple task to sort out?
Thanks for your help!

You might take off the lens and try to move the "cam follower" with a pinky. Be gentle, please. See if the frame line selector does anything with no lens on the camera.

lube is dried. Repair it

After this move it once in a while, in fact the entire range of function and all shutters speeds.

I had a similar thing happen with my M2 ... I jiggled the preview lever a few times and there was a click and it was OK. They must stick occasionally when the lube gets a bit dry as Ronald M said!

Is this an M mount lens, or a screw mount with an M adaptor? You may have a 35/135 adaptor attached to your 50.

Thanks for the advice, tried all your suggestions, (except the mount, as they're already an M mount lenses) and rang CRR Luton as recomended a while ago. The chap said its a fairly common problem with the TTL and easily fixed, so I packed it up yesterday and posted it, and was told I should have it back next week...touch wood...
Dont these things always happen when you need your Leica the most???
