I was bored today so I went out with my 28mm lens and took these. It was thankfully very quiet as last time I went it was school holidays and the atmosphere was very different!
I was amazed and pleased to have found 'Idol Rock' - the big balancing stone.
One day I'd like to go to the canyons and rocks you see in the states!

Love them rocks! Amazing balancing act with Idol Rock. Hope you don't have any idiot scout leaders over there.

Here is something unnatural in scout leaders and those rocks too.

what?
I love the textures and compositions that you have there, but . . .
I'm having a really hard time believing that (the balancing rock) is a natural rock formation.
Is it?

Thanks! Yes, apparently they're 100% natural

I love the compositions, the texture (I attribute that to Tri-X 100%) and the rock formation itself.
Thank you for sharing!!

As above. Very nice exposure, composition, development and scanning.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm glad I loaded up Tri-x, I always come back to it as it just has a nice 'bite' to it. I also feel it handles really nicely in my Rondinax machine - somehow it winds on smoothly and just feels good!
I'm getting some of these pictures printed for my wall today!

Probably worth a mention that from the side, the piece of rock at the bottom is quite long, albeit narrow, so the angle I've taken the pics from accentuate the precariousness of the rock!

Nice shots .
Reminds me of the rock formations on the Devon and Cornwall tors.
