Brokeh

I have been looking on Flikeh for photos taken with the M8 that have brokeh. It seems that the dof is wider on the M8. 😡 Does anyone agree? Is this because of the 1.33x crop factor?

1.33x should give adequately narrow dof. I think what we have seen thus far is a lot of crappy photos. Either because they are quick snap test shots, or the user is simply incompetent with a camera.

I know; on Canons and Nikons, it's "oofa". Not that anybody's biased 🙄

In Minnesota, it's "ufda", but that's only when you've had lots of food- or booze-induced hazy thoughts. You *could* say your existence right there has some "blur" 😉

Remember that the dof has to be devided by the 'crop factor' since the circles of confusion are 1.33x larger relative to full frame. Thus the dof marks on the lens barrel are wrong. It seems some people like to argue about this, saying the dof of a 50mm lens for example is absolute, but the dof determination is based on a ratio of the circles of confusion relative to the whole area, which was assumed to be a full frame of 35mm film.
