When I was ronsonoling* the shutter of my Kodak Retina IIIS recently, apparently I've ruined one of the black plastic (?) shutter speed tabs; it's broken midway, and the two parts are wiggling now, but still on their place.

Is there any *simple* way to fix that -- without disassembling I mean?

Thank you all :)

* in fact, since where I live Ronsonol seems to be unknown and unavailable, I don't have Ronsonol at hand, and so I was *zippo-ing* the shutter...

This. I've even used it to repair cracks in auto transmissions. Good stuff. Never had a failure w/ it.

Thank you -- in my case, there's probably no room for such a treatment, precisely: there is not enough space where I could squeeze any pasty glue into.
I'm not sure what you mean by shutter speed tab. There are a heap of photos here. https://www.flickr.com/photos/35706661@N08/albums/72157674072507126.
Maybe you can indicate on one of the photos. So we can work out what you mean.
This is a Retina Reflex, not a Retina., maybe that's not what you want.
Try Chris Sherlock's web site.

Thank you too -- you're right, the terminology isn't perfect; in Kodak's own words: the *shutter speed ring['s] ... black handles*.

1600 and 2200 the shutter speed ring's black handles, vs. 1830 the focus tab/knob/button thing (?)
