Hello. I'm new here so I hope I have the correct forum.
The dampening foam on my ETRS is falling apart. I want to replace it but am not sure if the best way to access it.
Does anyone have some experience?

Still no reply to your request?
Seems a little odd to me, given the fact that there are so many medium format users here.

I've done this couple months ago, best way is to remove the focusing screen and work from the top with tweezers. Given the mirror slaps quite hard on those I also installed thin pieces on the shorter side.

Isn't the foam underneath at that angle? I can't imagine being able to see it.I've done this couple months ago, best way is to remove the focusing screen and work from the top with tweezers. Given the mirror slaps quite hard on those I also installed thin pieces on the shorter side.
How did you stop foam from getting everywhere?
Thanks.

the view is better thru the lens mount, also you can use the mirror to see them.
on mine the foam was dry, so it was easy to scrape it off, then blow any leftovers from the mirrorbox, also proper angle helps them fall outside.
then you clean the surfaces with earbuds dipped in alcohol and stick the new ones.
