Bronica RF framing

Do users of the RF645 find you take a higher percentage of images in portrait mode than you'd normally take, rather than landscape mode?

Does the unusual "normal" portrait mode of this camera make you condsider this image orientation more?

Just curious.
 
I have been using this camera mostly in the portrait mode. I always start there for focusing, then frame, and occasionally switch to landscape if the scene fits better. But most of the time, i use the portrait orientation of the camera, it felt natural very quickly with this camera. I use a portrait orientation on my other cameras a lot, but maybe not as much as I do with the Bronica.
Interesting question:
 
Initially I was always turning it round to take pictures in landscape orientation. A few weekends I found myself forgetting that I could do that and thinking portrait by default.

Prior to purchasing my RF645 I sat and worked through sheets of slides to see if I had a preference for landscape over portrait. I found on the whole that it varied over time and that landscape was the more recent trend. This tallies with my initial RF645 experience.
 
Before getting this camera I almost always shot landscape. I still (mostly) do with the rf645 but find more and more portrait shots creeping into my films. It's great for magazine format and find myself thinking vertically more than I used to.
I still I find no problem shooting landscape with it despite what some reviews have said about it being awkward.
 
Thanks for the replys guys, it seems the portrait mode is getting used a little more with this camera. When using the RF645 on a tripod in landscape mode I think certain tripod heads would be better than others too?

I dont have a Rf645 but I am thinking I should get one while I still can!!

I'd say go for it . I've only had mine a few weeks but am very very happy. it's small enough to take everywhere and it's sturdy. great lens's' and accurate metering.

In short i love it. 🙂

Portrait vs Landscape

I definately use the portrait mode the most and that's one of the reasons I was drawn to Bronica RF645. Currently I have a show hanging with 25 photos; 24 are portrait, 1 is in landscape.

Thanks for the welcome Peter_N, I've been lurking for sometime. The Bronica interests me because of its portability, it has AE and many have proclaimed the optics to be highly rated.

The standard verticle framing is really no problem for me and might be desirable as a default mode.
