inspired by Trung's "Hanoi Vietnam..." I'm starting a thread about the city I live in.

Please feel free to share your photos of Brussels (film only please).

I hope this will give me inspirations to keep on shooting Brussels in 2017.

September 2015. I was visiting Brussels and the EU parliament with our city council. Both images taken on a 1km walk from a political meeting to our hotel. Rolleiflex 2.8C with Xenotar lens, Tri-X400 developed in X-Tol 1:3.

I love the subtle modern content in this classic looking shot, the modern bus, the girl on her cell phone, the highrise in the back.
Too bad Flickr oversharpens the image, it was a contrasty day to begin with already...

This is around the corner from the previous shot. Just a short alleyway that headed up to this mirror building. Just as I snapped someone came into sight from the right and it adds even more to the symmetry of the image.

Hi Giulio,

Thanks for mentioning me and as I promised, I will post some photos I took in Brussels (and if you don't mind later we can expand the theme to Belgium). Back to 2007-2009, I had privilege to study in Leuven and I sometimes went to Brussels for study-trips or during the weekends. I like the city, don't know why many people says Brussels is boring, though.

You are welcome Trung and thanks for the inspiration!
I moved to Brussels 5 years ago coming from 6 years spent in Munich (Germany) and having spent the first 28y of my life in Milan (Italy).
Indeed Leuven is an University city and quite different from Brussels.
I would say we could keep the thread going as Brussels and surroundings (Leuven is quite close).
If I am not mistaken the "Man in Brussels" has been taken on top of the Parc Leopold.

Looking forward to see more.
