Hello,
Anyone have any ideas about building your own light standard? Any plans or ideas? Im sure they are probably too expensive to buy just to adjust a meter occasionaly. I searched around on the net and didnt see any thing, I have a Canonet and a Petri color 35 I want to adjust, especially since I want to change to a LR44 battery.....Thanks

Ive used the sunny 16 rule to adjust the meters, but the trouble is in lower light. the Petri has two trim resistors , one for low light and one for higher. hard to get them to agree. Same on Canonet, set it for f-16 then low light isnt right, 2 stops off...........

Here in the Midwest part of the U.S.A. if you meter off of the north sky on a cloudless day between about 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM the Sunny 16 rule works perfectly for checking your meter. The blue sky is very similiar in tone to an 18% gray card.
