I don't know if I am going to repeat something already known to some people, but for me is a nice new discovery.
Today I got my first 35mm Soviet finder. Wonderfull one. At the rear side, the ocular one, I noticed the rear lens is hold in place by a threaded ring. Hummm it was like leaving a cup of milk with a cat around. I opened the ring and started to handhold the rear lens with one hand, while with the other I held the finder, looking for the right distance to see without glasses. In order to achieve it I had to distance the rear lens some half a centimeter out of the finder. What a pitty.
Having it outside after disassembling it I went to clean it before reassembling. Then by simple hand contact I noticed both sides of the rear lens are not equal. One is convex and the other concave. Hummm....
So why not trying to reverse the sides and look ? Eureka ! the vision improved a lot.
Yet not enough as for hundred percent use without wearing glasses, the rear lens required to be retracted just a bit from its normal place. So I took one of those rubber O rings, cutted around to size with a simple scissor and inserted the ring and then the reversed rear lens. Perfect !!!
For your info, my vision problem for which i wear glasses is progressive unsharpness from infinity to close up.

I hope upon this posting that in case you break a Nikon rangefinder, at least do not protest to our Chief bartender.
