Some of the local buses in my second home in Cueto, Cuba

Municipal bus to other local communities. Cost is 1 peso or 4 cents. Those with no money just tell the driver so. No one abuses the system.

Private bus that runs the same route as municipal bus but costs 2 pesos. People use these because there are not enough municipal buses.

Long haul private bus to Havana, 800 km or 500 miles, a 12 hour trip. Cost is equivalent to $8-.

A local around town bus. Cost is 1 peso or 4 cents.

There are some special private "buses" that run out to the country where the roads are not good.

Some of the "buses" run on RR tracks instead of roads. Some nearby communities are not served by roads but there are RR tracks everywhere to transport sugar cane from the fields to the sugar mills.
