Buying from our sponsors

Does Rff get the credit if we access the sponsor's site by clicking on the banner on the main page? Or do we need to specify that we are from RFF when we buy? Is there something specific we should do?

I am sure a lot of us buy from our sponsors (can you tell I am just about to?), and if RFF can gain from it as well, let's make sure we do it "right."

Just my 2 cents 🙂

We should patronize the sponsors - especially if they're helping to pay the bills - plus this is a very, imho, niche market in photography so they (the sponsors) should get a whack of business for those of us that buy some gear new.

Cheers

Dave some of the sponsors sell used too. The new sponsor Photo Village does for example.

Ya.. I know.. it just slips my mind because I always think that when I'm buying from a retail outfit I'm buying "new" 😉

Good timing Ray! I just got off the phone with Popflash, and when I put in my order I made sure to mention that I'd clicked through the RFF while shopping. The sales rep. said, "that's Jorge's site," and seemed glad I mentioned it. So, yes, I think it's beneficial to tell our sponsors how we got to their site.

Most of the sponsors are abit too dear for me, mostly because of the shipping costs to Holland. But as soon as I can spare a few dimes I'll be getting that CV 15mm from CQ, unless I can get a sweet deal on a second hand one. I don't know the other sponsors very well but CQ is IMO in a class of its own.

Ive had terrific experiences with both Cameraquest and PhotoVillage. It is kind of them to sponsor the site.

Agreed, wholeheartedly. We should firstly try the "sponsors" when we need to relieve GAS pains.

Mr. Gandy and I did biz a couple of weeks ago and now I have a new 85mm for my S2 and R2S!

CV 15mm lenses are hard to come by Remy. I waited two or three months to get one at a decent price. People don't seem to want to sell them...
