I've been using photoshop since we began printing digital files. My G5 Mac has crashed for the last time and parts aren't available; when I get a new Mac, I'll probably have to upgrade from C2 Photoshop. When I look at pricing, I only see Creative Suite available.
So two questions: Can I buy photoshop as a standalone program and are there other programs that allow a file to be exported as an EPS file. I also have to export color files in CMYK format for press work. I realize this is a lot to ask, but I appreciate any responses.

You can buy Photoshop CS 4 or 5 which is standalone photoshop even though it's called creative suite

I don't know if you've already purchased yet, but I'm running CS2 on my new iMac. So you may only need to migrate your old copy to the new machine.

If there is a student in the family check if he/she is eligible for academic pricing. You can always borrow the student's machine
