C-41 Beginner Questions

Just a few things:
1. Limit your cross contamination. Get most of the water out after your presoak. Also, I never go from developer straight to Blix. I always wash out the developer and tap the tank upsidedown much as possible.

2. The accordian bottles are great. I let the chems sit for a year and my last roll was perfect. I've heard of someone developing with 4 year old chems if stored properly.

^ Take this with a grain of salt . My experience with the Tetanal C-41 kit ; 9 rolls of 120 were developed 2 months ago , then all chemistry was put in topped up containers and stored in a seldom used cold fridge in the basement . Today i brought all the chemistry up
to the recommended temp and proceeded to develop my Fuji 160 film , the entire roll was blank .Grayish on one side and reddish on the other with some clarity on film edges. A complete waste !
