I am looking into using a C mount lens on a CCTV camera. Has anyone else tried this? Are the Schneider Componon enlarging lenses a similar mount and thread just for a trial? I understand that you do not get the auto iris function of CCTV lenses, but this is for fun. Thanks for the input.

I measured the threads on my 50 Componon and it is 25mm not 39mm. Are they the same size and pitch as a C mount?

C-mount lenses are different from enlarging lenses in numerous ways. The screw threads are not the same. You can't put an enlarging lens (LTM) on a CCTV camera designed for C-mount lenses.
Leica thread to C-mount lens adapters do exist.
I'm not sure about your particular Componon lens, but all you have to do is screw it in and see if it works. A bunch of Componons were made with a 25mm mount, and came with a ring to fit them into LTM enlargers.
