C-Mount lenses Porn and samples

Thanks, geopaca. Yeah, it's a fun little lens, re-inspiring me every now and again. I have no hood - this is a "flawed" lens, so it may just as well flare :)

It's a flare-y little beast. A very small lens. I'll post a picture of it on-camera.

I like that softness and veiling flare. Great photos.

I have a 25/1.4 cctv lens, and I am only hoping it is near what your images are, probably more vignetting on the nex though, we'll see.

OK. I added photos of the on-camera lenses to all of my posts.

I agree. it is a soft lens.

the NEX have larger sensosrs, so you will have certainly more vignetting.

Could we say that C-mount lenses are the exclusive domain of M43 cameras? ;-)

Thanks, Ted. From what I've seen on Flickr, I think the Raptar version of this lens might be less soft. I'd like to see some results from your NEX with your cctv lens.

Hi Ray

Hi Ray

Took a few snaps, will upload later. Gekopaca is right, it's just a circle on the screen, giving you a roundish frame.

I guess there are different sizes of 25/1.4 cctv lens going around, for example, this video shows pretty much the full screen being used, and I think it was from a Nex?

I like the milky white of that lens; I guess it might be a great lens to photography white people or white things in night with artificial light doesn't it?

Haven't tried using it at night. I imagine it would. I love how the bright levels bleed into the darker.

I believe the NEX uses less of the sensor in video mode, so a lens that vignettes while taking photos might look fine for video.

One must be very secure to carry these diminutive beauties:

I'm still sitting on the sidelines for this fun. M4/3s is so enticing when you combine it with C mount glass. So many different lenses sit idle, each with a unique look and feel as to how she paints light.

Great stuff, please keep sharing guys!!

great shots all! This could easily be a new lens addiction with one of those cameras. How much do the C mount lenses usually cost?

It depends on the lens, particularly the manufacturer and to some extent the original usage (16mm film, video, CCTV, etc.). Most can be had for pretty cheaply, especially when compared to the equivalent lens in a different mount. The mount has definitely experienced a revival, and the prices reflect that. However, good lenses can be had for less than $100 usd.
