C-Pol on Rangefinders

I keep reading in places that there are c-pol's (or just regular/linear polarizing filters) for rangefinders.

But I don't understand how a circular polarizing filter could work on a rangefinder when you must turn the front ring ofthe c-pol in order to get the desired result.

Anybody?

people have invented all kinds of systems for this, such as the "Steps" from www.leicagoodies.com.

However, imo polarizers and RF cameras don't really combine so well, it's a pain in the @ss.

Matched and calibrated polarizing viewfiders and lens filters are available as is the 13352 swing out polarizer mount. The latter swings out 180 degrees for viewing and back for exposure.
