Hello,
seeing as the info on Phase One's site is dismal, I thought I'd ask this question here.
What are the advantages of buying the Pro version of C1?
I've noticed recently that contrary to initial impressions ACR doesn't give as smooth a tonal gradations for the M8 as the camera's bundled LE package. Especially in the highlights, the Adobe Raw conversion seems to make huge jumps in colour values suddenly where C1 looks more filmic.
As always, your advise is appreciated!

There is, on the website, a comparative chart of features. If you study it closely, you'll find that the main advantages of Pro are a larger number of profiles and batch processing facilities. Both are practical for professional shooters, but most users will never need them. As for the profiles, you can load them into LE by downloading the free evaluation version of Pro and deleting it again. You'll find LE has picked them up.

Thanks mate.
I downloaded the Pro trial to see for myself. Looks pretty similar, like you said. I really wish that it had a more comprehensive histogram and highlight / shadow clip warning though. I like how in ACR you can hold down option while dragging the exp slider to see exactly what's being clipped with all else blanked out.
Also, with the presets in the Pro version, eg Ektachrome and AGFA etc, are there other presets that people can download or easy ways to make them yourself? I suppose this just means defining a simple preset tonal curve or something, am I right?
Cheers,
Tim
