Calibrating Zeiss ZM Sonnar-C @ f/1.5?

Been following a number of threads on how the Sonnar-C is calibrated @ f/2.8 by default. Instead of sending it back to Zeiss in Germany, is it possible to get an independent technician to calibrate it instead? Or must it be done in Germany? Has anyone calibrated their Sonnar-C without sending it back to Germany?

I haven't heard of anyone else doing this sort of thing. Plus I don't think I'd go for it anyway as it may void the warranty. Might as well have Zeiss do it, as it's free and done by people that make it. So if they screw up - they will give you a new lens to replace it.
